The Congress Secretariat desk will be located at the Hilton Athens Hotel and will operate
throughout the meeting hours.

The official language of the Congress will be English.
Weather and dress
In September, the average temperature ranges from 30o to 35o C and
swimming is still very pleasant.
Letter of invitation
Persons requiring an invitation letter in order to attend the Congress may write to the
Congress Secretariat. This procedure aims to assist participants who need to obtain a visa
or permission to attend the Congress and should not be considered as an official
invitation covering fees or other expenses.
Passport & Visas
A valid passport is required for entry into Greece. Please consult the nearest Greek
Consulate in your country for specific details.
Airport Public Transport Service
The Athens International Airport is located at Spata, 27 Kms north-east of Athens and handles

From Airport by Bus:
Three express lines serve the Athens International Airport to Athens City Center on a 24 hours basis.
The bus line E95 (Direction Syntagma) serves Athens City center (Syntagma, Constitution Square).

Current ticket price for the airport express line is 3,20 Euros. It allows for unlimited travel by all
transport modes (bus, trolley and metro) for 24 hours from the time of its validation during first trip
(validates only once). Please refer to the hotel list for the closest bus stop to the WFMH 2009
Congress Hotels.
From Airport by Taxi:
An average journey by taxi from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport to the city centre should take
approximately 30 - 45 minutes, depending on the traffic. The cost of the ride should be around 25-
28 euros per way.
From Airport by Metro:
The metro (Lines 2 and 3) runs from about 05.00 am until 24.00, the trip takes approximately 30
minutes. Current ticket price for the airport express line is 6 Euros. For further information contact

Electric power
Electric current in Greece is 220 / 240 AC / 50 Hz. The plugs have 2 or 3 round pins similar to those
in many European countries.

The Organizers cannot be held responsible for any claim concerning liability, personal
damage, loss, theft, illness, non-appearance of speakers etc. We recommend participants
and exhibitors to cover these risks by a respective insurance. The Program is subject to
change without notice. In case of cancellation of the congress the registration fees will be
refunded. No additional claims will be accepted.
Trade Exhibition
An exhibition of scientific products, pharmaceuticals, instruments, equipment and
relevant materials will be organized at the Congress Venue. The trade exhibition will be
located in the Congress Venue. Participation is open to any interested company or
organization.
