Guidelines for Abstract Submission
You are invited to submit abstracts on topics related to the Congress theme and tracks for
presentation in the Congress. Submission of more than one abstract from a single participant
is welcomed. All Congress presenters must register for the Congress and pay the registration
fee for their presentation to be included into the final program.
Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 15, 2009
- The Program Committee welcomes submission of abstracts for presentation as outlined
in the Abstract Submission Form (enclosed or downloaded at www.wmhc2009.com).
- Abstracts to be submitted should not have been presented at other meetings or
conferences in the same form.
- Authors who wish to submit more than one abstract should fill out a separate
submission form for each abstract.
- Authors will be invited either for an oral, poster or audio-visual presentation during
the Congress. Authors will be asked their preferred format of presentation.
How to Submit:
- Online submission at www.wmhc2009.com is highly recommended.
- For those who do not have on-line submission web access, please complete the
Abstract Submission Form and submit it as a file attachment via e-mail to info@era.gr
- For those who do not have web access: please complete the Abstract Submission Form
and return the Form with an electronic file e.g. CD-ROM to the Congress Secretariat: ERA
LTD, 17 Asklipiou Str., 106 80 Athens, Greece.
Only Abstracts following the published guidelines and containing complete contact
information will be considered by the Congress Program Committee
Acknowledgment of receipt of abstract
An auto reply acknowledging receipt of the abstract will be sent to your e-mail address to
authors who submit their abstract online.
Abstract Review, Selection and Publication
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee.
- A paper may be accepted for oral, poster or audio-visual presentation at the Congress.
Proposals for symposia, courses or workshops will also be considered.
- Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in the Congress Program Book.
- Only fully registered author(s) will be allowed to make presentations in the Congress and be
included in the Congress Program Book.
Notification of Result
Notification of acceptance or rejection of your abstract will be informed via your E-mail or mailing
address provided on the Abstract Submission Form no later than April 15, 2009.
Abstract Format
Abstracts must be typed in single spacing and Font 12 using Times New Roman in not more than 300 words.
- Author(s) should be listed by family names followed by initial title and institution / affiliation.
- All of the following contact information is required for consideration of Abstracts: (e-mail address,
telephone, fax (if any), complete postal address)
- The presenting Author must be underlined.
- The title of the presentation should be typed at the TOP of the typescript in BOLD in no longer
than two lines.
- Use of standard abbreviation is desirable. Special or unusual abbreviations should be placed in
parentheses after the abbreviated full words/phrases the first time they appear.
- Abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH and should be checked for spelling and grammar
thoroughly before submission.
- Tick the preferred format of presentation and indicate the track chosen.
For symposia, courses and workshops the abstracts of all presenters as well as an overall abstract
must be submitted by the symposium, course or workshop organizer.
Acceptance / Rejection of Presentation
The Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Authors of abstracts accepted for
presentation will receive notification and information regarding their presentation, by April 5th, 2009.
Oral Presentations
All authors will be informed in writing of the exact day and time of their presentation.
Poster Presentations
Posters will be gathered, numbered and listed according to the Scientific Committee’s
instructions. Posters will be affixed, discussed and removed on dates and at times, to be
communicated to authors. Posters size: Maximum width: 85 cm, Maximum Height 150 cm.
Only scotch tape and self-adhesive pads are allowed.
Information for participants wishing to submit a proposal for a Symposium,
Course or Workshop
Participants are welcome to submit a proposal for the above by e-mail to info@era.gr
by February 2nd, 2009 and follow the below structure:

All proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and submitters will be notified by Apri
5th, regarding the acceptance or rejection of their proposal.
Scientific presentations
All Meeting Halls will be at the Hilton Athens Hotel, and will be equipped with data video projectors
for Power Point presentations, laser pointers etc.
PC Reception
A PC reception desk for acceptance and checking of CDs will be located nearby the Meeting Halls.
Speakers are kindly requested to hand out their CDs at least 2 hours prior to their respective presentation.
Book of Abstracts
Accepted Abstracts will be published in a Supplement of the Journal “Psychiatriki” that will be
distributed to all registrants upon collection of their Congress kit, at the registration desk.
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be given to each registrant participant, during Congress.
